By following these steps, you can ensure only the apps you need use data while traveling. This will help you save your data and extend your battery life.
Close unused apps
- Tap the square button (Recent Apps button).
- Swipe left or right to close apps, or tap the "X" or "Close all" button.
Save data with data saver
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage > Data Saver.
- Turn on Data Saver to restrict background data.
Turn off background data for certain apps
- Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps.
- Select the app you want to restrict.
- Tap Data usage and turn off Background data.
Stop auto-sync
- Go to Settings > Accounts.
- Tap on the three dots in the top right corner and turn off Auto-sync data.
Stop automatic app updates
