Close unused apps

  • Tap the square button (Recent Apps button).
  • Swipe left or right to close apps, or tap the "X" or "Close all" button.

Save data with data saver

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Data Usage > Data Saver.
  • Turn on Data Saver to restrict background data.

Turn off background data for certain apps

  • Go to Settings > Apps & notifications > See all apps.
  • Select the app you want to restrict.
  • Tap Data usage and turn off Background data.

Stop auto-sync

  • Go to Settings > Accounts.
  • Tap on the three dots in the top right corner and turn off Auto-sync data.

Stop automatic app updates

  • Open the Google Play Store.
